Yes. Your website will be built from scratch by our developers and designer. However, if you have existing code you want us to work with, we can review this and potentially work with this too.
You keep all the rights associated with the project. Our role is to work with you to scope, build and test out your website so you're free to launch and extend it as you wish after your WarRoom™ experience.
Yes, absolutely. We've delivered projects for many clients who have all entrusted us to keep their ideas completely confidential. We can also send you our written terms on request, just ask :)
We use Ruby on Rails for web development. Ruby on Rails is an open-source web framework which is available to anyone to use for free. However, if you want to build your prototype using another framework, or specifically for launch on mobile, we can work out a package for you.
Due to the intensity of building a prototype in a short space of time, the team we assign always consist of the very best developers. They'll be chosen not just on their years of experience, but also their level of expertise relevant to your project. You'll be informed of who exactly will be working on the project before your arrival.
You can see the full schedule here.
We review your proposed project extensively before committing to it so we only say "yes" if we mean it. Before agreeing to build your prototype we will liaise with you about the project in order to assess and make sure we can deliver during the three days. Our team will also be briefed on the project before you arrive, so you can all hit the ground running from the word go.
The website we deliver will be functional online and hosted for the first 30 days by us as part of the package. We also include one hour for knowledge transfer via teleconference which you can use during the 30 days following the completion of your project. Additional support from our team is then available at standard rates.
The WarRoom™ is our own proprietary software development process for creating prototypes and minimal viable products for our clients in record time.
By optimising the workflow processes and bringing all parties into one room we bring down the time and cost of developing a prototype.
Bringing an idea to life no longer needs to sit at the very end of your priority list. The table below compares the key processes involved in a software project to explain why the WarRoom™ process can speed up development cycle.
|Standard development process||WarRoom™ development process|
|Client and team focus often spread over multiple projects||Client and team focus solely on one project|
|Emphasis on precision and perfection, but based on assumptions||Emphasis on rapid results followed by testing and iteration based on real user data|
|Multi-level development team working on your project||Senior developers and designers working on your project|
|Decision making stretched over a longer period of time with spurts of communication||Direct decision making between client and development team in one room|
|Fixed delivery time but with plenty of opportunity for extension||Fixed delivery time with no room for maneuver|
We have our own tried and tested process for creating professional, functional and user friendly websites which allow you to launch quickly and use the results to inform your strategy.
Our teams have many years of experience working long term with clients to maintain their websites and applications ensuring what we will build for you is sustainable

Three facts about Lisbon
1. Lisbon is older than Rome
Historians believe Lisbon to be the second oldest European capital after Athens, with settlers since 1200 B.C. Yet the Romans left their mark on Lisbon and a portico tomb dating from the time of Augustus is opened to the public once a year to allow people to descend underneath the streets into the underground galleries
2. The Tagus Estuary which runs through Lisbon into the Atlantic Ocean is up to 14 miles across
The river brings a freshness to Lisbon you're unlikely to find in almost any other city. Imagine stepping out of your office for lunch, heading to the river or a viewpoint and seeing the glistering blue water open out in front of your eyes. And if that's not compelling enough, some mathematically minded marines claim the main river basin is big enough to accommodate all the warships in the world at the same time.
3. A freak earthquake destroyed most of Lisbon in 1755
The earthquake, which occurred around 200km away in the Atlantic Ocean, measured between 8.5-9 on the Richter scale and was followed by a tsunami. The only area of Lisbon to have survived the earthquake is Alfama. With its steep, winding streets, tiny houses and hidden little squares with cafes and restaurants, a stroll around Alfama really is like stepping back in time.
